Donation Drive - School Kits

The last date this year to bring school supplies to church for Lutheran World Relief school kits is Sunday, October 31.

One way that members of Ebenezer can help Lutheran World Relief "serve all" is to buy school supplies to fill LWR school kits. These kits reach children across the globe and make it possible for kids to attend school. Our committee will buy the simple school bags, but you have the opportunity to fill them up! You can purchase some or all of the supplies for a kit or multiple kits.

Each school kit must contain ONLY the following items:

• 5 unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers

• 5 black or dark blue ballpoint pens

• 1 large eraser (2 1/2 " long)

• 4, 70 sheet spiral notebooks, wide ruled or college ruled

• 1 box of 24 crayons

• 1 30 centimeter/12 inch ruler

• 1 pair of blunt scissors

Stores are beginning to run great sales on school supplies, so now is the time to shop! You can also support this project with a monetary gift, just include “LWR - School Kits” in the “other” or memo line.

Starting Sunday, August 8, there will be collection boxes in the Narthex at Ebenezer. The last day to bring supplies is October 31. Questions can be directed to Jackie Wood.
