From the Pastor - May 26
To the Saints at Ebenezer,
First and foremost, I, like you all, have been struggling in prayer with the two most recent mass shootings in Buffalo and Uvalde. Words do not come easily as we contemplate living in a nation and world of such casual violence, and together, we struggle to find the presence of God in the midst of it all. But it is better to engage that struggle together, in the midst of the crucified and risen Christ, whose body bears the wounds of violence and healing, too, in due time. If you are in town this weekend, I urge you to gather Sunday at church (or online) that we might do together that to which we are called: To dwell in the midst of it all together, and urge one another to hope and action for the healing of the nations.
And you won't want to miss Sunday, June 5, as we celebrate two years of ceaseless dedication on the part of our choir and other volunteers as they embark, finally, on a well-deserved summer sabbath, Let's all gather to celebrate their care and dedication as we welcome again and anew the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
In Christ's love,
Pastor Michael
