From the Pastor - October 21

Greetings to the Saints at Ebenezer,

As October slips by and the Fall Weather is upon us, this is a reminder that we have some very special liturgies coming up. I hope you'll plan to attend!

Blessing of the Pets

Saturday, October 22 at 4 p.m.

A time to give thanks for the animal companions, past and present, that enrich our lives. You're welcome to bring photos of beloved pets from your past to be blessed as well.

Reformation Sunday

Sunday, October 30 at 10 a.m.

Gather to call the church and ourselves again and again to be reformed. The color for the day is red.

All Saints Sunday

Sunday, November 6 at 10 a.m.

Bring framed photos of loved ones who now rest in God's mercy, and add their names to a ribbon of thanksgiving as we are surrounded by their presence in song, praise, word, and meal.

Finally, a reminder that as Thanksgiving approaches, I encourage all who are able to begin considering what gifts you share with Ebenezer; you all share so much of yourselves with this congregation! And as you continue to share your prayers, labor, and care for this congregation, begin to consider, too, your financial support for the coming year. Even a modest amount goes a long way toward Ebenezer continuing to fulfill its mission.

See you soon,

Pastor Michael
