2022 Mid-Year Congregation Meeting Recap

The mid-year Congregational Meeting on July 17, 2022 was conducted in-person with additional participants joining via Zoom.

Note: The required 40-member quorum, required to allow for a motion to amend the Church Constitution, was not achieved. The following summarizes the meeting but should not be considered to be a record of official Church business.

Proposed Amendment to the Constitution

Discussion and vote regarding an amendment to the constitutional amendment was tabled until the January annual meeting due to lack of quorum.

Mid-year budget summary

The Treasurer presented a summary of the Church budget as it was as of July 2022. Currently there is a slight budget shortfall. However, because fewer enrichment transfers than were planned by this year have occurred, this shortfall can be easily managed via planned enrichment transfers later this year.

Ministry recruiting discussion

The need to increase volunteer staffing on committees, which has dwindled during the pandemic, was introduced with an invitation to discuss ways to address this. Various suggestions regarding how to publicize the existence and purpose of the wide range of Ebenezer committees were discussed, as a means to generate interest and volunteers.
