New Neighbors Resource Team Updates

Throughout the year, the Resource Team supports families in the Rogers Park and Edgewater area, including newly arrived refugees and immigrants, to meet and overcome the obstacles to an easier life in America. Sponsoring agencies offer a minimum of initial help when families first arrive. Ebenezer’s group works to fill the gap until families are self-supporting.

The many activities of the team include collecting and distributing donations of clothing and household goods, negotiating education resources for their children, linking families to medical resources, finding support for meeting rent, medical and education expenses and most importantly being an American friend to each family.

If you'd like to be involved, please contact anyone on our team: Norm Dynneson, Jessica Daniels, Patrick Donnelly, Jackie and David Wood, Rev. Monty Johnson and Kari Johnson. Edie Lange, Susan Ritter, Cory Lu, Hirut Negassi and Bev Albert

Follow the Ebenezer New Neighbors Resource Team Group on Facebook to see updates on families and what the current needs are.

Monetary contributions can be to Ebenezer Lutheran Church with the notation of New Neighbors Refugee Fund on the memo line.

We celebrate that a generous donation has been made to support a struggling family with rent for the next several months!
