From the Pastor - March 11
Greeting Friends at Ebenezer!
As case numbers and hospitalizations continue to fall in Chicago and across the country, we have discerned it was time once again to review our mitigations. To that end:
Beginning next week (March 13), Ebenezer groups, committees, and those sharing our spaces my choose to make masks optional for their gatherings. We would ask that in common areas, like restrooms and hallways, that you would continue to wear a mask out of respect for others in the building.
Beginning Sunday, April 3rd, it is our intention for masks for those vaccinated and boosted to become optional in our worship services. We will of course continue to monitor any changes in circumstances and update guidance accordingly should the situation change.
In all cases, masks are welcome. We would ask that those with complicated health factors and those not fully vaccinated and boosted continue to wear masks. We will also be resuming nursery care during morning worship and will require our attendants and our Sunday School volunteers to continue masking when working with children.
These are times of change and I am so gratified to be welcoming so many familiar and new faces at Ebenezer. If you aren't ready to be back just yet, know that you are respected and missed, but your choices are supported and understood.
In Christ's peace,
Pastor Michael
