Welcome Christopher Drummond!
We’re pleased to welcome Christopher Drummond as our intern. His time will be split with Luther Memorial Church, where he is also on staff. Here at Ebenezer, you’ll find Christopher mainly at the Sunday evening services and some of the weekday programs.
Christopher is an endorsed candidate in the ELCA for the ministry of word and sacrament, and he’s finishing his Lutheran studies at LSTC. Prior to completing his Master of Divinity degree here in Chicago at Bexley-Seabury Seminary and a 2-year pastoral internship at St. Luke’s in Evanston: Christopher worked in marketing/communications and operations for corporate and not-for-profit organizations in New York City and Philadelphia. He spent some time advocating for and serving on the boards of a children’s early education school, as well as a not-for-profit providing mind-body-spirit services to individuals and families affected/infected by HIV/AIDS. Christopher also brings gifts in music. He has been serving the Church for over 30 years as a professional organist and music minister, and he has also earned a Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in organ performance from Hunter College/CUNY in New York City. Christopher and his husband, Russell, live in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago along with their rescue puppy—Frankie.
Christopher is excited to be with us. If you’d like to reach out to say hello, drop him an email at organist(at)lmcchicago(dot)org.
